This talk will include a summary of the 35 years of scientific research on mindfulness-based interventions and an outline of the resources available in our community.

Bio: Stephanie Curran, Acupuncturist and Director of the Elements of Health Centre, is a long time practitioner of meditation. She has completed teacher training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with MBSR founder Jon Kabat-Zinn, as well as other training courses in teaching mindfulness to children and families. Stephanie is on the board of directors with the BC Association for Living Mindfully (BCALM) and teaches mindfulness meditation classes in Victoria. For more info, visit www.elementscentre.ca
